Currently my favorite subject is Pharmaceutical Technology. It's a theoretical-practical subject related to professional training in the activities carried out in the pharmaceutical industry for the formulation, design, manufacture, evaluation and control of pharmaceutical forms. The basic principles of the manufacture of solid, liquid and semisolid forms are discussed.
In classes are exposed the different activities that are developed in the pharmaceutical industry and master recipe book. The processes of elaboration and the quality controls necessary for its approval and later to the market. Later in the same week in the laboratory where we apply the knowledge learned and we elaborate diverse pharmaceutical forms (solid, liquid, semisolid). The laboratory work is evaluated with a control and a report. In addition seminars are held where doubts of practical work are discussed because the last week of class there is a last practical test where it is asked to manufacture a random pharmaceutical form.
I really like this subject because I feel that I am learning essential knowledge for a pharmacist. I feel it is the essence of the race. Plus, it's fun to learn how to make your own creams! I feel that the practical knowledge and much needed if you want to work in the farmaceutical industry area.
