About my blogging experience :D

I really do not like writing. This is the first time I blog, because I do not like to publish about myself. I am quite reserved with my private life. In fact, I have a Facebook, but I use it more to read manga in reading manga groups than to post something. I usually only write reports, so this experience has helped me to learn to state myself better through writing. I think I have improved my writing skills in both English and Spanish.
English is something common in my life, because it is the standard language of scientific publications. I have been in university for several years so I am quite accustomed to reading and writing science. Therefore, his knowledge in essential, especially at the time of reading anime/manga. Because is better and faster to read the manga in English than to expect its translation into Spanish.

In the future, it would be interesting to include blogs about scientific divulgation. It would be very useful to make science known to people who do not have a broad knowledge about the subject. What would be very useful for practicing scientific writing in English and the skill to teach other people our knowledge.

  1. It really seems to me a great idea to make blogs about scientific divulgation, so you could be breaking down myths and falsehoods about science.

About my best holiday :D

At least in my childhood I travel a lot. My father loved to take us on a summer vacation trip. However, they were not always pleasant experiences. My parents argued a lot so the trips usually ended badly. They are not good memories to say. Since I left home I have not traveled on vacation, mainly for economic issues. Everything has been quite chaotic, however, slowly I have recovered and stabilized. My vacations usually consist of sleeping and eating. I'm pretty simple really. With an ice cream or cake I settle. Although I would really like to have the economic solvency soon to travel on my own. I would like to go to the beach or travel through southern Chile. I love nature. I find it to be the most relaxing after a long and stressful year. If I had to describe a special date would be the first time I spent Christmas and New Year with my boyfriend. That was the year before. Since my boyfriend and his mother have known me, they have been very attentive to me. They have worried abo...

About our amazing human body: pancreas :D

The pancreas is a long thin organ located behind the stomach, in the upper and posterior part of the abdomen, and extends horizontally. It has important functions in the digestive system, as it contains exocrine and endocrine glands that produce pancreatic juices, hormones and insulin. Pancreatic juices and enzymes produced by the exocrine glands are released through ducts into the intestine for the digestion of fats. The endocrine glands or islets of Langerhans release the hormones insulin and glucagon into the bloodstream. The third important hormone that produces the pancreas is somatostatin, responsible for regulating the functioning of the two previous hormones (insulin and glucagon). When the pancreas works normally, the body is able to keep blood sugar levels within normal limits, even in situations where blood glucose levels change (from digestion, infections, etc.). Insulin stimulates the body tissues to absorb the glucose they need as fuel. The excess glucose is stored ...
